Rexburg, Bingham Co, Idaho, President Wilford Woodruff and Councillors Dear Brethren, You doubtless have learned of the burning of our Mills, here in Rexburg, causing a loss to us of from $12,000 to $15,000; and a greater loss to the people. This leaves us under the necessity of going to Weston, Cache County, to Mill, or taking steps to have one built at once. We have called a meeting of the Priesthood of this Stake of Zion, to consider the situation. But with the limited means of the people here, it looks very dark to us getting one built by them. Neither have we flour to supply us until harvest, or until a mill can be built. Of course, flour can be shipped to here from other places. A Grist Mill, by harvest, is something of a necessity, which the

Salt Lake City, . Elder Boyd B. P. Petersen Castledale, Dear Brother, Your name has been suggested and accepted as a Missionary to Scandinavia. The work of the Lord is progressing in the nations, and faithful, energetic, Elders are needed in the ministry to promulgate the everlasting Gospel, openings for doing good appearing in numerous directions. Yourself, with others, having been selected for this mission, should there be no reasonable obstacles to hinder you from going, we would be pleased to have you make sure arrangements to start from this City at as early a date as Tuesday, 6th August 1889. Please let us know, at your earliest convenience, what your feelings are with regard to this call. If you accept if you will receive no further notification, but will be expected to present yourself at the historian's Office to be set apart on the day previous to that appointed for your departure.
