April 20, 1889 ~ Saturday

Saturday April 20 [18]89
I am not feeling very well in my health. This morning
myself and party met Mr Badlam and his daughter
Maud and Mr Swan, a friend of his at the Tiburan
Ferry. We took ferry-boat to San Rafel, I thought a ride
might do me good. From San Rafel we went by rail
through beautiful vallies to a town called Clover Dale
125 miles from San Francisco. The principal valley is
Sonoma, which is extensively covered with vineyards,
and is noted for its grapes and wine. Extensive

D. E. Harris Pittsburg Pa Rec April 25 [18]89 Ansd [April 25 [18]89] Pittsburg Pa. April 20, 1889. Pres't Wilford Woodruff, Beloved Brother: Although unable to make any formal report of last months labors, I thought best to write a little on matters generally. The brethren are generally feeling well in body, with the exception of an occasional cold. There were a few baptisms last month, and about the usual number of meetings held.
