Letter to Angus Munn Cannon, 24 September 1889

Salt Lake City, U. T. . Pres. Angus M. Cannon, Salt Lake Stake. Dear Brother: We see no objection to the ordination of the brethren whose names you submit as High Priests In future, we suggest that when Bishops in your Stake recommend brethren to be ordained to the High Priesthood, their names be presented before the High Council, with yourself and counselors presiding, and if approved by nyou, then you present the names to the presidency of the High Priests Quorums, and after a vote has been taken by that quorum accepting these brethren as members of the body, the presidency of the High Priests ordain them High Priests. Farmington Prest Willford Woodruff and Council Dear Breatherrn I write this to ask you to ap ropriate three hundred Dollar in a gene ral Tithing Office Order to Remunerate me in part for my labor on the Malad indian farm for the last year as I have spent a goo[d] deal of my time and in consequence of this have had to hire my oan work Dun I Do no t want to Draw out of the office moer then one third of this amount but would youse the Balance too hundred Dollars to pay my oan Tithing if you see propper to make this allowance pleas gave me a^n^ prodose order on Plymoth Ward Malad Stake for one hundred and twenty five Dolars 125 Dollar and the bala ne 175 Dollars on Farmington Ward Davis Stake and verry much oblige John W.
