Battle Creek,
Dear Sir
and beloved Brother in Christ,
I beg excuse for my constantly troubling you
with my correspondence, but I hope your brotherly
charity will pardon my freedom, being one
of the lost of the house of Israel, searching
for the church of the Messiah and Christ.
I have come to America on purpose, to hunt
up my brethren; the pamphlet, which you
have sent me, is not sufficient for me,
notwithstanding it has given me much
light. I have sent you 2 letters, and
have not received an answer yet; the first
was dated Septbr. 27th, the other under October 3rd
I mistrust, thinking you may have answered
my letters, and perhaps they have not reached
me, because I lodge with an Adventist and
work likewise in an Adventist printing
Office. They wish me to joyin them and
labor among the Polish and Jewish people.
My idea is to stay here in Battle Creek
only about 10 days longer, but not my will,
but God's will may be done. Where I shall
go next, I do not know, have no apoint-
ment made. Were it perhaps possible,
for me to earn my bread in Salt Lake City?
As I have informed you before, bymy
occupation is Surgeon. I have studied it
