THE LARGEST CIRCULATION OF ANY GERMAN PAPER WEST OF THE MIS- SOURI RIVER. Salt Lake City, Utah, To the Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dear Brothers During the past eight weeks a number [page torn] bretheren have been trying to establish a Mormon German Newspaper. In some regards we have been eminently successful. The Germans have largely subscribed to it and seem to feel that it is a great help both to the newly arrived emigrant by giving valuable information and likewise by allaying prejudice among the public generally. The articles have been of such a Character as to command the esteem of our German Mormon population.
