Letter from Brigham Young Jr., 20 October 1890
[sideways text] B. Young. Liverpool. Red Ans 4 [18]90 [end of sideways text] LATTER-DAY SAINTS', EUROPEAN PRINTING PUBLISHING AND EMIGRATION OFFICE. 42 Islington, Liverpool, Oct. 20th 1890. President Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Brother: I find it has cost me about one hundred and fifty dollars perhaps a triffle more to live while I have been waiting for possession of 42. Bro. Teasdale proffered to vacate and let me in to which I did not object, but he did not do it. I arrived on the 3rd day of Sept. and Bro. T. moved out on the 4th of Oct I was actually five weeks getting into 42. I cannot let this amount appear against me. I have enumerated most of the expense of sleep- ing and eating, but not all. Now if you choose to meet this extra expense by approprating and sending a draft all right; otherwise I will forward an order on Rossiter to pay you there—which can be credited to this office—one hundred and fifty dollars. The table expenses, generally, would have meet this amount, during Bro. T's time, and I really think he should have had the extra expense to meet not I. But do what you think is right bethren and shall be satisfied. I await your answer to all my Communications. God bless you forever Your Brother in Christ Brigham Young. over
