20 I signed 22 Recommends I received 17 Letter
I wrote 6 Letters 1 to Sarah I met with a Dozen
of the Sisters of the various societies some wanted to
Go to Washington as representatives of the
various institutions

Keys crossed I received a Letter from Mr Durkee abot
the Land in Colorado I Answered him & sent
him back the papers He sent me to sign

In answer I will say, I could find innumerable excuses all of wich would be reeasonable but my concience will not allow me to make any however seemingly emportant they may be And I will breefly answer if it is the Lords will that i should perform a mission I will bee on hand and do the best i can under the many Obstacles to contend with Your Brother in the Cov.
