Dear Brother:
Your communication bearing
date of Sept 22nd is to hand.
In answer to the same
will say: I regret very much
that your call comes a second
time and finds me unprepared
to go. I have been somewhat
unfortunate during the last year
and my affairs are now in no
better shape, but a little worse than
what they were one year ago.
Being in considerable debt and
in every way unprepared
to break of and leave I hope
you will have me excused yet
for a little time. I do not desire
