Elder Alfred Nethercott Sr. To President Wilford Woodruff Dear sir (and brother in the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ) this being the first time that I have ever had Correspondence with you; and never at any time a private, personal interview; you will please pardon my method, ^and liberty^ on this occation of introducing myself—And not feeling a desire ^to weary^ your otherwise much needeid patience I will pen in brief the following item's, 1st Myself and wife, mother & daughter, came from Oakland Cala. about five weeks ago.
