Provo City Pres. Woodruff, Salt Lake City. Dear Bro: Rumor says the Twelve have received word that Bro. J. W. Young is insain. I being the wife of his oldest son, would like to know if this be true. Letter from Thomas Edwin Ricks and William Frederick Rigby, 8 December 1891

Rexburg Idaho, Prest. W. Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother, Referring to the matter of the contest of our townsites of Rexburg and South End now pending, our expenses are very heavy so far as we have gone and present indications are that if we are successful the cost will be considerable more. The situtation of the people is such that we deem it necessary to ask your kind assistance which if you could favor us with to the extent of $100000 would materially help us with this very heavy embarrassment. Rexburg Idaho, Prest. W. Woodruff Salt Lake City Dear Brother, The enclosed explains itself. Brother Poole is a Patriarch in our Stake and First Counselor to the President of the High Priests Quorum. We understand that Brother ^Poole^ is making his state of feelings in regard to the manifest known throughout the ward which is having an influence for evil among a number of the Brethren and especially among the members of his own family. What course do you advise we should take with Brother Poole Your Brethren in the Gospel T E Ricks Wm F Rigby
