Richfield, Prest. Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City. Dear Brother: In reply to your letter of the 10th inst. I will say that I feel willing to ren- der missionary service; but my circum- stances are such that it would be impossible for me to get my affairs in proper shape and be ready to go as early as May 14th. There is consid- erable due me from various persons and I am somewhat indebted; but as soon as matters can be got in pro- per shape I will be willing to respond to the call. Your Bro. in the Gospel.
