Sept 25 1893
I met with Mr Maples in the office also
Mr Green. I gave Mr Maples A large Print
of Book of Mormon Doctrins & Covenants The
History of Utah By Whitney the seer voice of
warning
& A single key with teeth to the right key to Theology He wanted to inves-
tigate Mormonism He spent an hour in
conversation He is publishing a Paper and said
He would do what He could for us We received
a Draft of $10000 from our sugar factory
on the Islands we divided it up & Paid Debts with
it as far as we could

Prest Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother Bro [redacted], who was cut off the Church Feb 6th 1884 for adultry and restored to fellowship and his family Oct 29th 1885 was reccomended as worthy to recieve his Priesthood, by his Bp and counselors and at a meeting if the High Council held Sept 1st 1893, it was unanimously decided to restore him to his former Priesthood, if you had no objections. Prest. Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah U.S.A. Dear Brother As financial circumstances over which I have not sufficient control prevent me from attending conference, I feel it my duty to make it known to you. First the sale of sufficient stock for the church have to pay Ballance due on South half of church purchase have to be delivered the very last ^day^ of this month, and the following week will have to meet the agent of the Rail Way Company and complete the matter. The next & not least I really have not the means to spare. In fact I should state not all ^which^ I greatly regret. The stringent times in montana have to quite an extent effected Canada North West. That we may have bread without launching our people here
