Tuesday . President Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother, We kindly ask for your Judgement & Reply (through the mail if most convenient) upon the following question. Viz= Must we submit to have our Respective Lots cut up & made in 3. And one third each of our Respective Lots taken from us. Your petitioners humbly protest against such treatment. We beg to present the following facts. We came here in the spring of 1889 as Settlers. We are each of us poor men. Robert Newton brought in one small mare & colt and saddle & abouts 7 or 8 Dollars cash. Robt & Wm Newton Sept 26 [18]93.
