17. I spent the day in the office Brother Webber & Row
called upon us & informed us that Br Row had
resigned his position in the Z.C.M.I & we made
an Appointment to meet the board of ZCMI
on Monday the 20.

Salt Lake City Dear Breathren, In answer to your communation of the 1st ^inst^ stateing that I had been called ^suggested^ and accepted as a missionary to attend the Sundy School Normal Course, Whould say in the first place I apologize for not answering at an earlier date the reason of this delay is that a few days before I received your letter there was some little disturbance raised in relation land and roads which was the cause of makeing some feelings, and expecting each day that the matter whould be adjusted thus the time has passed by I did not feel like excepting under the then seeming conditions.
