Letter from George Teasdale, 30 November 1893
Dear President Woodruff:
Under the blessing of our
Heavenly Father we have just concluded an excellent
series of Conferences. We commenced on Friday the
24th inst, at 10 a.m. with a Conference of the Primary
Associations of the Mission. They had a choice program-
me and good attendance. At 2 p.m. the Young Mens
Mutual Improvement Associations, held a com-
mendable Conference. At 7 p.m there was a conjoint
meeting of the Y.M. and L.M.I. Associations of
the Mission, which was very interesting. The Meeting
House was crowded. On Saturday at 10 m., the 25th inst
We commenced our Mission Conference. The speak-
ers in the morning were Elders Henry Eyring, of the Pre-
sidency, Philip Hurst, Helaman Pratt, Dennison E.
Harris, Bp. Jesse N. Smith, of Pacheco, Philip H. Hurst,
and John C. Harper. In the afternoon Bp. Winslow
Farr, of Dublan, Christopher B. Heaton, Patriarch W.
R. R. Stowell, Jno. Jacob Walser, and Bp. Geo. W. Sevey
of Juarez. At the close of the afternoon service the
99th Quorum of Seventies held a meeting. Elder
Helaman Pratt is the senior president of this Quo-
rum. At 7 p.m. there was a Priesthood meeting held
which was well attended. Subjects treated upon were
our financial condition, keeping out of debt, paying our
just dues, the necessity of honoring the law of tithes & Offerings
magnifying the priesthood, repairing the canyon road &c
