D[ea]rest Father & Mother I am very sory to think that you all at home forgot me so soon. I arrived here yesterday morning almost frantic to hear from you, & found to my surprize & sorrow that none of you had remembered me. Clara was the only one who seemed to realize how a boy would feel who had not heard from his home for a month. If she had not remembered me I don't know what I would have done. Had you have written two weeks after I left I should have received it by this. You must not forget that I am a quarter ^third^ of the way around the Globe & it takes two weeks for a letter to reach me. Yesterday was Sunday; we had two meetings here in our office. The one in the afternoon I gave a short sermon & most of the other boys spoke also. Brother Sheuer & one of the missionaries are going home. The fact that you did not write me & also that they were going home almost broke me up. I was very anxious to know where
