Friday, . To the First Presidency: Dear Brethren: Please consider the following, in connection with the propositions submitted to you yesterday, at your earliest convienience: The position, in which we find ourselves. A week ago to-day I laid a paper containing ten reasons, "why the "Beobachter" is not worthy of being supported," before Apostel A. H. Cannon, also a proposition to start a new paper, explaining its purpose and mission. This was submitted to obtain counsel; and after a full hearing, I was referred to the First Presidency. President Geo. Q. Cannon accordingly appointed a meeting the next day requesting Bro. A. H. Cannon to be present. In this meeting Bro. I repeated the above mentioned reasons, offering to proof each statement. I also repeated my propositions for the establishement of a new paper. After some discussion I was told to try to make some arrangements with Bro. Ward first, and afterwards was specially ad- vised by Pres. Joseph F.
