Pres. Wilford Woodruff, Dear Brother: Your letter notifying me of having been called as a missionary to the Northern States to hand. Will say in reply that I will be ready to start from SL on June 2nd according to your request; unless something unexpected at the present should hinder me in any way from doing so. Letter from J. M. Campbell, 18 May 1894

PAISLEY Scotland Case of James Graham. Sir With reference to above named person who has been chargeable to this parish for some time past. I have to state that this parish is presently making enquiries regarding his Birth settlement. He is said to have been born in Balfron Scotland, and is about 64 years of age. He informs us that he has two sisters presently in the Mormon state and who are able to prove his birth in Balfron being much older than him, and who left this country many years ago. As this matter is of very great import- ance. I would feel greatly obliged if you would kindly cause enquiries to be made in the state and if the sisters are still alive that they favour me with answers to enclosed queries. Parent's names are James Graham who had a grocer's shop in Balfron & Margaret [Eroing] both
