Thatcher, To Presidents Wiford Woodruff, Geo. Q. Cannon and Joseph F. Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Breathern: Last night I received a missionary certificate, a from you, authorizing me to preach and teach the Gospel of Christ in Arizona, which, I am free to confess is a great surprise to me, as I have received no intimation whatever, of my name having been presented to preform missionary labor. But, however, if this is your wish I am ready to go, but desire to receive more definate instructions from you, as to what localities, and what people, I am expected to labor in and with. An immediate answer will be greatly appreciated by Your Brother in the Gospel, I. E. D. Zundel

The people there number 125 souls or about 25 families, they have asked for a ward organization, and we feel their circumstance would justify granting their desire.
