Brigham City, Utah, President Wilford Woodruff. Salt Lake City, Dear Brother, The reason of my delay in answering your letter of the 30th of January is that I has a few business matters to settle. I am pleased to say that all things are working favorable to my being ready to go at the time appointed. Which is march 2nd I am pleased that I am counted worthy to be called to such a labor. Letter from Wiley Nebeker, 4 February 1895

Randolph Wilford Woodruff Esq. Dear Brother: Your letter of Jan. 26th, calling me on a mission to the Southern States arrived several days ago but the absense of the bishop from home prevented an ear- lier reply. In reply I accept the mission and will be ready to leave on the day mentioned; (May 11th.) In conclusion I am thank- ful that I have been consid- ered worthy of such an honor. Mr. Wilford Woodroof, President of the church of Jesus Christ of latterday Saints Dear br^o^other by request of several of the brether in & sisters I take my pen and ask you a few questions we had a man presented to us for a bishop a few days ago & he did not suit many of the people in the ward, a very few voted for him & nobody against him we was give to understand that he was aproved from the president of the church down, & a great many did not vote at all for they did not feel to vote for him & they feared if they voted against him they wold be under condemnation, now the queston
