Letter from Charles Ora Card, 2 July 1895
Prest Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah U. S. A. Dear Brother. Of late years I have ofbserved while attending our general conferences and the conferences in the Northern Stakes, that in the assemblies of the saints the congregations were requested to rise to their feet during the singing of the first hymn; In adopting the same in this Stake, I am brought in question as to the propriety of following the foregoing example. Will you please advise me as to the course you desire pursued in this matter. Although we are far removed from the heads of the Church, we desire to be one with our brethren in all things. The saints here are in good health & spirits & join in kindest love to you & your colaboroers Your Brother in the Gospel Charles Ora Card
