March 07, 1897 ~ Sunday

7. Sunday I met some 8000 people in the Tabernacle the majority
sabbath school children I addressed them At the close
of the Meeting all the presidency sat in Elevated chair


Sunday the congregation of children passed before us
it took one hour for them to Pass As we left the Hous
we Entered a terrible snow storm & it made vary
hard travelling

Letter from Samuel Louis Gerber, 7 March 1897
President Wilford Woodruff. Dear Brother, Salt Lake City. I have been appointed a mission to Switzerland and Germaney to start on the 27th of this month, which I cheerfully accepted, but am sorry to say, that I have badly, dislocated my right ancle on the s2nd of this month which may make it impossible for me to start on the date mentioned, altho I would be glad to start on the appointed time Very truely, your Brother in the gosple Samuel S.
