President Wilford Woodruff:
Dear Brother:
I have before me your
letter of May 6th, informing me
that my name has been pre-
sented and accepted as a Mission-
ary to the Southern States.
I feel highly honored in
being thus chosen of God to go
forth to the nations, and proclaim
His Gospel to a dark World, and
I therefore accept the Call, and
will do all in my power, with
the help of the Lord and the pray-
ers of the Saints, to further the
Work of our Master in the
World.
