July 16th Had a poor night, do not feel very well. Sat up a little to day.
Bro Nuttall came in the evening and sat up with me during the night.

City ut Dear President, There is a little band of Saints located in our field of labour who are trying to erect a meeting house they have the main part of the material on hand and have started to build it but are at a loss as to how they are going to get Doors Windows nails etc. as these things will cost money. One of the Sisters has $8 45/100 which she desires to pay as Tithing which she has saved from her last years cotton crop. And the question has arisen among them as to wheather they could be permitted to use that on the meeting house and the Sister be credited with ^it^ as Tithing and be recepted for same (over)
