Montpelier, Ida. President Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Brother: Your letter of Jan. 26th, asking me for a mission is before me. Just now I cannot answer you com- pletely, however, for these reasons: I am teaching school here in Montpelier Idaho. Promised to teach 9 months. To keep my promise I would have to remain until the last of May. Yesterday I went to see the trustees about it but they could not give me a definite answer.
