Saturday I spent the day at the settlement of
saints at Wasach which is one of the most
Delightful Locations & Habitation I Ever saw
for a summer retreat located on the south side
of Little Cottonwood Creek on the North side
of the Granite Mountain which stands almost
perpendicular half a Mile High All the Presidency
some of the Twelve & Bishoprick & many of the
Saints have habitations there My Habitation
is built on the bank of the creek and on the East
side of Central Park the Creek abounds with
trout I had a present of 25 trout for myself
& family
~ Sunday
10 Sunday I held a Meeting with the People in
the Bowery & Partook of the sacrament I spoke
30 Minuts upon the Principle of faith followed
By Br Penrose. At 5:30 PM I took My Bugg[y]
& with Emma returned to our farm we passed
through a vary heavy thunder storm & got
quite wet 20 Mils
12 We took breakfast at Rawlins we had a view
of the Platt River that we travelled up in 1847. The
whole country was covered with Buffalo at that time
we arived at Larame at one oclok the whole
