I returned home to the city & drew 2 loads of clay 6 M[iles]

3rd I received 6 letters & wrote one I sattended the fast
Meeting in the 14 ward & gave $2 donation.

April 4, 1873 ~ Friday

4. I spent the time at home laboring

April 5, 1873 ~ Saturday

5 I spent most of the Time Gardning

April 6, 1873 ~ Sunday

6^th April 1873 The 43 Anual Conference of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Met in the
New Tabernacle at 10 oclok this Morning there
being present Presidents Brigham Young D. H. Wells
& O. Hyde, O. Pratt, J. Taylor W. Woodruff G. Q. Cannon
B. Young jr & J F Smith of the Twelve. B Young jr prayed
George Godard was Elected Clerk of Conference
John Taylor spoke 30 Minutes G. Q. Cannon spoke 53 M[inutes]
Afternoon W. Woodruff Prayed & sacrament was
administered to some 10000 people President Young
said I want the Eyes, Ears, & hearts of the people while
I speak to them. He spoke one hour & 6 Minutes I spent
the Evening at President Youngs & on my return
I found Father Thomas Kington at my house I
was rejoiced to see him we spent the time till nea[r]
midnight conversing together & talking of our Herrifordsh[ire]
Mission & the goodness of God to us

April 7, 1873 ~ Monday

7^th I took Brother Kington with me & went to
conference at 10 oclok O Pratt Prayed
Orson Hyde spoke 24 Minutes O. Pratt 53,
President Young 25 Minutes Afternoon A. P. Rockwood
Prayed & President Young spoke 50 Minutes
& W. Woodruff spoke 38 Minutes
