we had another hard rain & snow storm last night & this
morning I received 3 letters from Sarah, David &c.

6. I spent the day sprouting potatoes

7. Sunday I attended meeting at the New Tabernacle O pratt
Preached One hour & 10 Minuts

I received a letter from Sarah & wrote her one and
sent her $5.
~ Monday to ~ Saturday
8, to 13 inclusive I spent this week in ploughing & Planting
Potatoes & corn we finished our planting Saturday night
~ Sunday
14. Sunday it rained hard all day I spent the day at home
David P Woodruff arived this Evening

15 I spent the day choreing

16. I planted both gardens today at the farm I sowed Beets,
carrots, wheat, planted Beans, pease, Mellons, cucumbers &c
~ Wednesday
17. we have another Hard Rainy day with some snow
and turned vary cold if the snow had not melted there would
have been a foot of snow on the ground at night I spent the day
in the Endowment House we Baptized for the dead 525 persons
W Woodruff ^sealed^ 131 couple for the dead & Joseph F Smith 11 couple
and done all the clerking at the desk

18. It froze quite Hard last night and whether it has
Killed the fruit or not I do not know this is the coldest
day for the 18 May I ever saw in this country I went to
the farm we [with] David to work & we had to walke most
of the way to keep from freezing I wrote one letter
to Wilford & sent him $5.
