Discourse 1847-09-03
W. Woodruff. Council has been given that is good. the hand of God has been visible to us. on our mission. we av seen it felt it & realized it. as it was to the chil[dren] of Israel. it has been preserved by the hand of God for this ppl. I hope the bre[thre]n & sis: will listen & understand for as sure as there is a God in Israel if a man pollutes that land he will be cursed. stealing is one of the most cursedest things that cod be among us. my prayer to God is that their bodies may die & go to dust. remember your God by da & night & you will be blest. my prayer is that men may die rather than to live & pollute our families.
