Dear Brother:
The case of Elder Thales Haskell
was brought before the Council from a letter which you
wrote, under date of the 26th ult., to Bishop Wm B.
Preston. The sum of $150.00 was appropriated, in
tithing produce, for his benefit, an order for which is
enclosed herewith.
Presidents Cannon and Smith, in their
capacity as members of the First Presidency, wrote a
release for Brother Haskell from the San Juan Missin
through representations which were made by Prest. Silas
S. Smith and Elder John Morgan. They suggest tha[t]
