President Woodruff:
Dear Brother,
Having been some-what
surprised on receiving a
notice to prepare to go
upon a mission. I can
say I feel thankful that
I am worthy to receive
the same, and with the
help of the Lord I will
try to fulfill the glorious
calling as far as the Lord
will give me strength.
Having been more
or less, of late, engaged in
educational studies and having
a strong desire to fulfill
any calling required of me
from the hands of the Lord
and hoping to prove worthy
of this hopingly calling Therefor
I heartily respond to this
