Provo, President Wilford Woodruff. Dear Brother, Enclosed I submit to you an approximate report of the Statistics of our Church school-Organization for past academic year. I regret exceedingly my inability to give a correct and complete statement, but the fail- ure of some of the schools of making returns, make a correct Statistics thus far impossible. There have been during the last school year in actual operation: 3 Colleges, 15 Academics, and 2 Seminaries, of whom have reported the three Colleges viz: at Provo, Salt Lake, and Logan; 11 eleven Academies, viz: at Ogden, Coalville, St. George, St. John, Morgan, Paris, Franklin, Richfield, Panguitch, ^Beaver,^ and Fillmore; of the Seminaries one viz: at Randolph. Reports are missing from Ephraim, Brigham City, Rexburg, and Snowflake, and from the Springville Seminary. By calling the special attention of all the Stake Boards of Education and of all Local Boards also to Paragraphs 1, 2 & 3 of Gen. Circ. No. V. with the assurance ^recommendation^ of their strict observance in future, we may succeed to get complete and correct returns from every school in the future. Salt Lake City, U.T. . Pres. Angus M. Cannon, and Counselors, City. Dear Brethren: The enclosed letter I have received from Abraham F. Doremus and his wife, Pauline Richards Doremus, requesting that their names be cancelled as members of the Church, and I submit it to you, that you may take the necessary steps to have these persons' connection with the Church severed, according to their request.
