2 I signed 26 Recommends I received 10 Letter
There was a subpena issued by the Court for me
to attend the Court, but being absent it was not served
I held a Meeting with the board of Z.C.MI & with several
other men I spent the night at the farm

Letter from Charles Ora Card, 2 September 1890

Prest. Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah U. S. A. Dear Brother Realizing the deep interest you have in the Sts. at home and abroad, I venture to pen you a few lines from this point. I arrived here on the 22nd ult. and found the saints enjoying good health usuially. There has been 2two or three pretty sick, but by the aid of the Lord they are recovering. In consequence of the drouth our wheat and oats will not be more than one fourth of a crop. As it has been raining considerably since the middle of Aug I think our potatoes and other vegitables will give us a fair yield. We do not feel to complain for we are blessed above our gentile friends for miles arround

We had by this time found that London was the hardest place for a mission which we had ever undertaken, but we did not feel discouraged in the least; and were determined in the name of the Lord to set up the standard of the Kingdom in that city
