November 19, 1890 ~ Wednesday

19 I signed 31 Recommends I received 18 Letter
I had an interview with Joseph L Lee a hunter
and preacher of the Josephite Order He wanted me
to let him have our tabernacles to preach in & warn
the people to go back to Jackson County & those who did
not go would be Destroyed I told him we did not
believe in him or his mission A colored woman
called upon me & wanted us to make a Donation to
help them to build a Methodist Meeting House
H. B. Clawson submitted to me a memorandum
of Agreement from Dickson & Stone for their
servises this on the 18 Nov & H B Clawson started
for Calafornia G. Q. Cannon & company went to
Lehi to pic out the place for the plant for the sugar factory
A hand pointing to the right I wrote 5 Letters 3 pub[lic] & to Eugenia Cody & to Atkins
Keys crossed we made a Donation of $50 to the coulored People
to build a Methodist Meeting House I went to the
farm & spent the night 6 mils

Salt Lake City, U. T. Dear Brother Wm In looking over my package of Letters I see one from you of Sept 25 that is not ma^r^ked Answered so I judge I have not Answered it it is quite an interesting Letter in many Respects I would be vary glad to join you in the Mellons & Pairs and would Enjoy a Dinner of carp with Sister Atkin for I know what her cookery is she has had a long Experience in that Line with a full table. I am as busy as Ever and Enjoying fair health to day I was confined to my room a week with severe cold on my Lungs I was pleased to Learn that

Pres. Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother: Enclosed find letter of Pres. Wm O. Lee, respecting books in the Samoan language, which I forward for your perusal, and advice in the matter. The cost of the books are, Dictionaries 13/6 ^each^ Bibles 1/9 each which would make a total of £9.3.0. The publishers say they only have a few copies of the Dictionary on hand, and then it will be "O. P." I rather think it is not much called for and they wish to dispose of a portion of their dead stock. I did not feel free to purchase the books for Bro. Lee and forward the bill as he directs, or render any assistance from this office, without first consult-
