Salt Lake City July 27 1893 To the First Presidency of the Church Dear Brethren, I respectfully ask your permission and indulgence to lay before you a few facts, which I consider of grave im- port at the present time. Clayton) being ^one^ of the Seventy Apostles of this last dispensation using his ingenuity to induce as many as possible to become Sabbath breakers, and Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, and also

Letter from Henry Leigh, 27 July 1893

Cedar City . Wilford Woodruf. George Q. Cannon Joseph Smith First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ. Salt Lake City. Dear Brethren: Replying to your favor of recent date stating that my ^name^ was suggested as one suitable to be called to take a 20 weeks course in the Normal Sunday school course in the B. Y. Academy Provo, and that my name was decided upo[n], or selected as one, and request to be there Jan. 1st 1894. It seems to me that it would be much ^more^ prudent to have some younger man that would be more apt, and would be more at liberity and would have a longer life of usefulness before him, to attend. But if it is thought I can do more good in that direction, and the Priesthood wishes me so to labor I am willing and on hand to do what I can. I shall arrange my affairs and be at Provo on the above mention date unless I am otherwise advised
