August 25, 1893 ~ Friday

25 I went to the office held a Meeting with
Bishop O F Whitney and Decided to allow him
$2700 dollars on the 3rd vol of the History of Utah
[FIGURE] I wrote a Letter to Sarah I met with the board
of Z.C.MI and had an account of their financial con-
dition I met with many brethren to day

Letter from William H. Gibbs, 25 August 1893

Pres Willford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah Dear Brother, The [illegible] Biship Isaac Thorn of Rockland, Acting [of] Brother [and Ilnes] Thom Cosett have their note [illegible] upon them. In June 1891 they were cut off from the Church for fornication. The offence was commited before [illegible] to [illegible] in the [first]then in the condition thereafter was [recommend,] and went to the temple and is here [Home] after this action a charge was made against him and sustained. ([illegible]guilty) and [last]. They have rep ented, and made it right as far as they can. They have been rebaptized and now wished to have ^their^ Endowments sealed upon them. The Bishop recommends that they receive this blessing, and we also endorse [vessel] [As to ... people] and [brigny] to live their religon. We remain your Brethren in the Gospel William H Gibbs
