Dear Brother:
Your
letter of March 15 notifying me of my ap-
pointment to the California mission came
duly to hand. I deferred replying at once with
the intention of making a personal call
during the conference season. This makes
my present response later than it otherwise
would have been.
Do not think that this delay indicates
any doubts or hesitancy on my part, for such
is not the case. I consider myself honored
in receiving this call and will prepare to
leave on the date designated. With the help of
