March 25, 1897 ~ Thursday

25 I spent the day in the Temple we spoke upon the subject
of the Meeting of Nationalities like the Danish & others Brother
Brigham Young is quite sick some of the Twelve Administered
to him President Cannon attended the funeral of Sister Noell


I spent the Evening at Brother Joseph E Taylors He had a large
company I was near sick

Gunnison Pres Wilford Woodruf Dear Brother As you are aware that I Leave for Tahiti Island Oct. 1, [18]97 on an Mission I kindly ask your for advice. My Intentions are. Getting Married Before I Leave for my Mission, some time In June and would Like very mutck to take my Wife with me as I think she could do Lots of Good. She is verry anxious to go. She has a fair Education in general also under stands all the Rudiments of Music. She is at Presant Superintendent of The Manti north ward Sunday School Primary department. I think she is in Every way Iadapted for the work that she may Be called upon to do
Letter to Newton Woodruff, 25 March 1897
Salt Lake City, Utah. My Dear Newton I just Received your Letter & one from your Mother she is quite feeble they have got a hired girl. Sylvias Daughter got the Mumps but is getting along all right Now concerning yourself I will say I have No fears about your satisfying the people as far they can be satisfied with such things but I think if you could come down to the conference we could talk these Matters over better than writing We are all as well as usual Brigham Young is quite sick for several Days & being administered to & Sister Noell is burried to day she has been with her husband on the Islands many years My Health is about as usual
