August 03, 1898 ~ Wednesday

Wed Aug 3rd At the office, quite busy on financial matters. Attended
a meeting of the Directors of Z. S. B & T. Co at 1 pm. We decided to reduce
the interest on deposits from 5% to 4%. Bros Geo Teasdale & L John Nuttall
accompanied me to my son James' residence to see how he is doing after
the accident to his eye. The Doctor feels that he can save the sight it is ^a^ very
severe accident to his left eye. We administered to him. Bro Nuttall
anointed & Bro Teasdale mouth. I handed his wife a little money and
went home at 4.30 pm.
