Brother Moses Thurstin droped Dead in his field on Tuesday
I Attended his funeral to day President Joseph Young spoke
I followed him I also Attended the fast Meeting I received
3 letters & wrote one to Sarah

August 8, 1873 ~ Friday

8. I made 1 1/2 Barrels vinegar from wind Fall Apples

August 9, 1873 ~ Saturday

9. A 2 days Meeting commenced in the New Tabernacle today
Prayer By G. Q. Cannon spoke followed By Elder Lorenzo Snow
& President Young spoke vary plainly upon the saints making sacrafizes
for the Gospels sake did not think they could make any sacrfice
it was ownly Exchanging Dross for Gold &c In the Afternoon
President D. H. Wells spoke one Hour & 30 Minutes.

August 10, 1873 ~ Sunday

10 Sunday B Young Jr Prayed & President B. Young spoke to a large
Assembly of Saints & strangers one Hour & 32 Minutes in a
vary interesting Manner 1^st On the Arazonia Mission 2nd on the one
Man Power & that one Man was God 3rd Tithing & sundry subjects
I met with my Quorum at Noon. Afternoon J F Smith prayed
& G. A. Smith spoke 65 Minutes & G. Q. Cannon 35 Minutes I met
with the Presidency & Twelve for Prayer I spoke 45 Minutes in the
16 ward Levarett Woodruff Attended meeting with me. I received
a letter from Azmon

August 11, 1873 ~ Monday

11th Leveret is quite unwell to day but He returned to his work at 2 oclk

August 12, 1873 ~ Tuesday

12 I wrote 4 letters to day to C. C. Rich Wilford, Susan,
& Sarah Woodruff

August 13, 1873 ~ Wednesday

13. I accompanied the Editorial Excursion party of New York
to Presidents Yo[u]ngs office, to the Tabernacle, through the Musium
& Z.C.M.I. Mr Henry T Williams agricultural Editer New
York Independant & Horticulturist, was the President of the
Party
