April 11th 1873
Brigham was vary sick through the day I spent the
day at work
~ Saturday
12. Brigham is better to day I tied up my grape vines it was
was a vary cold night
~ Sunday
13 Sunday we had a cold snow storm this morning
Brigham is much better we think it is not the smallpox
but a sudden cold I met with my Quorum at Noon
Lorenzo Young spoke in the morning followed by G. Q. Cannon
Afternoon John Taylor spoke 1 Hour & 15 Minutes on the
philosophy of the Gospel compared with Philosofical principles
among man it was vary plain & good I met with the
Twelve for prayer & Preached in the Evening in the 128 ward

I wrote 2 letters to Azmon & Sarah I Attended
the School in the old Tabernacle & a meeting of the Agricultural Board
in the Evening
~ Tuesday to ~ Wednesday
15 & 16. I labored at home I met with the board in the Evening
~ Thursday to ~ Friday
17 & 18 I spent most of the time laboring in the New House
~ Saturday
19 I spent the day laboring at home. I met with the
Agricultural Board in the Evening
~ Sunday
20. I attended a meeting at the Tabernacle B. Young Jr spoke 40
W Woodruff followed him 30 M[inutes] I met with my Quorum
prayer circle at Noon & with the Twelve at Evening
~ Monday to ~ Saturday
21 to 26. I spent the week mostly laboring on the New House
assisting in painting I held 2 Meetings with the Board of Ag
I received 2 letters & wrote one

27. Sunday, O Shaw Prayed Brother Snelgrove spoke 61 M
Anson Call 23 M. Afternoon A M Musser Prayed E D. Woolley
spoke 56 Minutes I met with My Quorum at Noon & the 12 in the Evening
