April 27, 1873
I preached in the 14 ward in the Evening & expressed myself in
plain terms concerning ^the^ charavari performed last friday night
by the Mormons in Salt Lake City I am opposed to all such proceding

April 28, 1873 ~ Monday

28. I went to the field in the morning we had a terrible storm of
wind & dust which terminated in a heavy rain which the whole
country in Utah Needed. I Attended the school of the prophets
in the Afternoon I attended the school of the Prophets & A
Meeting of the Board of the D. A & M. Society in the Evening

April 29, 1873 ~ Tuesday

29 We had a heavy snow storm all day I think more than a
foot of snow fell but a great Deal Melted.

April 30, 1873 ~ Wednesday

30 I received a Letter from Brother Joseph Fabyan Carter
And I wrote one to Albert Carrington upon the subject of Helping
out Brother John Preece Family, from Herreford England

May 1, 1873 ~ Thursday

May 1^st Fast day I attended Meeting at the 14 ward I Administerd to
Brother Lunt who had Nearly lost his Eye sight. we laid hands
upon 3 persons

May 2, 1873 ~ Friday

2 I spent the day drawing out Gravel onto the side walk I went to the
Farm at night 6 M[iles]

May 3, 1873 ~ Saturday

3rd I came to the city this morning & attended the conference met
At the New Tabernacle at 10 oclok Prayer By John W Young B Young Jr
spoke 35, J. F. Smith spoke 35 Minutes. Afternoon W Woodruff prayed
G. Q. Cannon Presented the New Trustee G. A. Smith with his
Assistants & their Bondsmen before the conference & they were
all ecxcepted without a dessenting voice. David McKenzie then
spoke 15 Minutes & John Taylor 16 Minutes I Attended a Meeting
of the Board of the D. A. & M. Society in the Evening I received 2 letters from
David & Sarah
