& I received 2 letters from Sarah & David &
I wrote 1 letter in return

2nd I Attended meeting with the Officers of the United order

January 3, 1875 ~ Sunday

3rd Sunday I Attended the funeral of A Brother Claytons
child which was scalded to death I spoke at the funeral

In the Afternoon I preached the first sermon in the
New Meeting House of the 17 ward. I was followed By
President D H Wells. I met in the Evening with the
Twelve in the prayer Circle

January 4, 1875 ~ Monday

4. Monday I spent the day in the Endowment House
we gave Endowments to 60 persons D. H. Wells
sealed 24 couple

January 5, 1875 ~ Tuesday

5 I received 3 letters from Susan Sarah
& David 2I wrote 2 letters to Sarah Susan & Delight

January 6, 1875 ~ Wednesday

6. I left S. L. City for Randolph in company with
Jesse Moses we arived at Evanston at 1 oclok there met David
with a waggon & we arived at Woodruff & spent the night with Bishop Lee 144 M[iles]

January 7, 1875 ~ Thursday

7. I went to Randolph & spent the day with my family

January 8, 1875 ~ Friday to January 9, 1875 ~ Saturday

8 & 9. we had a fierce cold wind storm I spent most of the time in the House

January 10, 1875 ~ Sunday

10. Sunday I met with the Saints in Randolph & spoke to them
& in the Evening I wrote 2 letters to C. C. Rich & Mrs Woodruff

January 11, 1875 ~ Monday

11. I went into the Hills with Wilford & killed 6 sage Hens

January 12, 1875 ~ Tuesday

12 I went out with David in a sleigh & shot 5 sage Hens

January 13, 1875 ~ Wednesday

13. I wrote 3 letters to G A Smith, G. Q. Cannon, & Mrs Woodruff

January 14, 1875 ~ Thursday

14. I spent the time at home

January 15, 1875 ~ Friday

15 we started with 2 teams to cross Bear river for wood while
crossing the River I broak through the Ice filled one boat with water
