Day in the Life

Journal Entry

February 24, 1846 ~ Tuesday

24th We are still beating Against Headwind
And most discouraged we seem about as
bad off in the ending as we were in the beg[inn]ing
there is A ship in sight this morning to the
windard of us the first sail we have seen
for about 20 days we are all feble in health
this morning And depressed in spirits as
we have so much to do And so little time
to do it in And still we are not Advancing
on our Journey
