Letter to Francis Marion Lyman and John Henry Smith, 11 July 1887
Salt Lake City, Utah, F. M. Lyman & John Henry Smith Beloved Brethren I wrote you on the 5 July and informed you of the Dangerous condition of president Taylor and requested you to return home as it did not appear that He could last but a short time. I have got the cheering intelligence this morning from Brothe George Q that there is a great charge in him and that his appetite has returned to him again and that there is a chance for his recovery so I take the first opportunity to inform you of the same And I want to recall my request of you the returne home and say go on your Mission to Mexico as you contemplated and I will endeavor not to stop you again untill your Mission ^is finished^ I hope I have not made you much trouble in this matter but there did not seem to be any appearance of his tarrying with us but a short time But I am vary thankful if it is the will of God that He may tary with us. Our Utah Brethren have got through their labours in forcing the constitution and committee appointed
