H M. Wells M G Hardy & Elias Morris upon
the sugar question Met with the Directors of
the Saltair Company I met with Mr Charles
Ellis
& had a plesant interview with him I bought
A Buggy of the firm of Grant & WGeorge Odell &
$Paid $160 for the same

Sanford Conejos Co. Colo. . President Wilford Woodruff. Dear Brother Yours of the 16th to hand. We are ready and willing to meet the call to fill a mission to the southern states. We would prefer to go direct from here on account of means. Will you kindly instruct Bro W. C Spence to forward us the proper instructions so we could purchase our tickets from La Jara to the mission head quarter and get them at missionary rates. We would like to join the other Elders at Pueblo or some other point if he will give us the information as to when they will be there. Bro John Henry Smith is here and will set us apart and instruct us in the character of our duties. We will want our certificates and Bro Smith will ordain us Seventies.

Letter to William Atkin, 23 October 1890

Salt Lake City U. T. . William Adkin, Dear Brother: Your letter of Oct. 4th has received. I signed your recommends and forwarded them to you, which I hope you received. We are still in the woods as far as hard work is concerned, and I dont know when we shall giet out. I have no particular news to write you. I am well as usual, so is my family. Robert Scholes has been here on a visit, and has just returned. Susan was here also, and returned yesterday. She has one daughter sick with diptheria, which hastened her return.. All is well.
