Letter from William Chandler Parkinson, 18 January 1895
Preston, Idaho, Pres. Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother a few days ago, Julius Johnson of the ward, received a call to go on a mission to Australia, & be prepaired to start from Vancouvers Island Feb. 16th. The young Man is willing to go, but heias to depend on his Father for the money, & his Father says he can be prepaired to start in about three months, providing his mission can be changed either to Norway or the United States he is a Norwegian & would much prefer that he should go there, please answer at once that they may know how to prepair; I beleive unless the change is made his Father will not help him to go, & he has nothing of his own with kind regards, I am yours Brother in the Gospel W. C. Parkinson Bp. We need Elders for Norway. Let him go there, 3 mo's. hence. J. F. S.
