June 23 1878
Sunday I Attended Meeting at 1 oclok & spoke to
the people 1 Hour & 20 Minuts. I went down to the farm
in the Evening & returned found the crops looking
well 6 M[iles]

June 24, 1878 ~ Monday

24 I rode to Logan, visited the Temple & Recorders
Office. The Temple is doing well. I took cars & rode
to Ogden & Salt Lake 100 M[iles]

June 25, 1878 ~ Tuesday

25 I received 1 Letter from McAllister & 2 telegram for
D.

June 26, 1878 ~ Wednesday

26. I met in council with the Twelve spent the rest of
the day in the office

June 27, 1878 ~ Thursday

27. I spent the day in the office writing Brother Daniel
Thomas of Lehi Died to day

June 28, 1878 ~ Friday

28. I took cars rode to Lehi preached the funeral
sermon of Daniel Thomas who was born March 15
1803, was Baptized By W Woodruff in the summer
of 1835. I also Baptized his wife & Father & Mother Brother
Thomas Died June 27, 1878 After the funeral I returned
to Salt Lake City Lucy B Young & Dora arived in the
City tonight came to settle their affairs with the Esstate
distance of the day 70 M[iles]

June 29, 1878 ~ Saturday

29. In company
with Brigham Young & others I went up Mill Creek
Canyon and Returned 30 M[iles]

June 30, 1878 ~ Suniday

30 Sunday I attended Meeting at the Tabernacle C C Rich
spoke 42 M[inutes], and W Woodruff 40 M[inutes]

June 28 Sarah Delight Woodruff had a Daughter
Julia ^Delight^ Born 7 Minuts to 7 oclok morning 1878

July 1, 1878 ~ Monday

July 1. I received 3 letters from McAllister & Bleak
and spent most of the day making water Gates
