Afternoon Report of the Trustee in trust was Read
and accepted by all the people Lorenzo Snow spoke 27 M[inutes]
Missionaries were then called A Carrington spoke

Joseph F Smith 20. Afternoon Reports of Committees
were read a[n]d a vote taken for The Apostles of the
Church to appoint a Board of Trade to carry out
the principles of cooperation. John Taylor spoke
65 Minuts After which Conference was Adjourned
untill the 6 day of April 1879, to meet in the
Tabernacle at 10 oclok

October 9, 1878 ~ Wednesday

9. We spent the day in Meeting with the leading
Men of the Territory in a Board of Trade called
Zions Board of Trade. The Apostles were made
Honorary Members of the same and I think it
will lay the foundation of Great Good to Zion

October 10, 1878 ~ Thursday

10. I Met with the Missionaries and set apart 10
And assisted O Pratt in setting apart 10 others L Snow
& C. C. Rich also set apart quite a Number I gave
than instruction followed By O Pratt & EL Snow
In the Afternoon I met with J Taylor Br
McAllister & J. G. Bleak in setling up St Geore Affa[irs] {[illegible shorthand]}
