October 27, 1890 ~ Monday

27 Monday conference Met at 10 oclok Prayer By Bishop
Perry Rudger Clawson spoke 12 M[inutes], A H Cannon
spoke 45 M[inutes], F D Richards 30 M[inutes]. Afternoon
Prayer By Bishop Kelley W Woodruff spoke 60 M[inutes]
I met in the Morning with near a thousand childn
I addressed them for 30 Minutes we closed the
conference with the shout of (Hosannah to God & the
Lamb) which was a vary impressive & solmen It was
one of the most interesting conferences I have attended
in the Stakes in these Mountains. At 4 oclok we parted
with our friends & took the cars & Returned to Salt
Lake
& to the farm & spent the night Distance 60 Miles

Letter from Hyrum Franklin Thomas, 27 October 1890

Spanish Fork City, U. T. Prest. Wilford Woodruff. Dear Brother, In answer to my re- quest concerning the fixing of a date for my departure on a mission to the States I received a letter from Bro. Reynolds asking me to state when I will be ready. I therefore write in answer and that I can be ready by the 10th of the next month. Respectfully Your Brother Hyrum F. Thomas

Prest Woodruff, occupied all the speaking time of the meeting. his remarks embraced the law of tithing the last instructions of the Prophet Joseph to the Twelve, the missions he assigned them, the keys of this dispensa- tion, the power of the Melchisadek Priesthood. his clos- ing words were, I have been peculiary interested in Bro. Clawson he was present at the death of Bro. Standing. he expected to die also. he could not reasonably expect anything else he is a martyr. I am interested in you all. Joseph holds the keys of this dispensation and ever will. I want to be with him in the spirit world. I never found my father's house untill I found the Latter day saints. I pray that we may be all true and faithful to the end. God bless you all for Jesus's sake, amen.
